Am I missing something in Power Nap? How does Drew know that thing is Smiling Man from just a few sentences? Also of interest, is Smiling Man also allergic to Z-Sups, or does he just sleep to go to that dreamscape? What about the others?

Power Nap confused me too until I realized they gave us TWO new pages this time. Smiling Man is another sleeper that Drew had to work with, and eventually took a flamethrower to his desk. Hence, the "poit".

I get the appearance of the flamethrower and who Smiling Guy (it's consistently "Guy", now that I reread the comic from the start) is, but I don't follow how Drew knows this is Smiling Guy, as in what clue tipped him off. It seemed to be that his code-name is Kafka, but the only time that's come up was when Drew was describing the incident to Keith. It was Drew's description of his situation with Smiling Guy, so why does Smiling Guy use it as his own code name? Unless Smiling Guy was literally trying to be Kafkaesque and did such a great job that Drew picked it up as intended, it doesn't make sense for Smiling Guy to take that as his code name. "Kafka" is Drew's term, not Smiling Guy's. We have no evidence that Smiling Guy has any connection to the term Kafka, only that Drew connected the two in his own mind. It'd make as much sense to have that thing be Keith, if not for the fact that he's a Z-Sup-using drone, since he at least knows the term and considers it to be a name (granted, it is, but that's not how it was being used).

Another possibility is that the code names don't actually exist but are generated and inserted as appropriate by Drew's subconscious (works for Token, but raises issues for everyone else for various reasons), and that it somehow recognized Smiling Guy and assigned a code name significant to Drew's conscious mind.

I'm also still curious if there is any confirmation on Smiling Guy, or any of the other dreamers for that matter, have the same condition as Drew. The closest we've got is that Drew and Smiling Guy used to work in the same office room, which may or may not mean anything. They're asleep now, but by choice or necessity?

Random observation: Smiling Guy seemed to reference the Doc, too (the "sexy monster" bit). Significance? It's almost leaning towards this whole thing being generated by Drew's mind, but we've been told pretty explicitly that, whatever the case of the landscape and creatures in it, the team is other real people. The creatures definitely seem to be related to the dreamers (maybe Z-Sup-users, too?), though. So, how much of what's going on in dream-world is generated by Drew's mind? EZ and J would seem not to be since they move between dream-world and reality seemingly at will. The other dreamers seem to be real people, but I wonder to what extent. How much of their appearances, personalities, names, powers, and pretty much everything is filled in by Drew's subconscious? For example, is it possible that Drew's mind is filling in everything beyond "female and guy2 attack the monster", all of their costumes, powers, weapons, and specific tactics?

Argh, so many questions! I'm hoping they start to get answered as the story progresses. It's been a very interesting comic so far. Kinda reminds me of Kukuburi, actually.

... That got a lot longer than intended...
