A discussion of the possible use of letters of marque (via Instapundit). I have been advocating this for *years*. But do I get to publish an article in a law journal? No, I do not.
It would singlehandedly revive the maritime industry (providing Q-ships/privateers), reduce unemployment especially among the young, and encourage the Somali pirates to rediscover their tribal roots as herders. What's not to like?

You forgot the most important thing: The inevitable spike in youtube clips of Somalian pirates being being sent to their final account. Still nothing not to like, though. ;)
